About The Artist - Author

Author-Illustrator and Artist. Former paediatric and NICU nurse who loves literature and story telling with pictures for all ages.

Nicole often writes and illustrates stories, poems and comics which draw on her experiences of being a late diagnosed woman with Autism and ADHD. She also finds inspiration in finding art in the patterns around her in a series she calls 'Can You See What I see?: Finding inspiration in the Dark'. A series that touches on Nicole's experiences with Aphantasia and not being able to see images in her mind. Something she did not know until her late thirties.

In addition Nicole is a proud mom of two children with her partner and husband of 17 years. She describes her family as having neurodivergent needs that are being learned as they go; as well coming from a family of undiagnosed neurodivergent people and the generational impacts that this has had on herself and her family. She also likes to talk, write and illustrate about her animal family or any animals and draw birds…lots, and lots of birds. Nicole can be often found posting web comics illustrations and examples of writing from time to time on Bluesky and Instagram at present.
Nicole is currently seeking illustrator and writing representation.
